Succession act in kerela

X , a hindu mitakshara died in 2001and is survived by his widow, a son , a married daughter(1990) and an unmarried daughter.
What whould be their shares if the family is domiciled in kerela?

He left behind both separate and ancestral properties and died intestate. No partition was effected till the date of death.
I am in no way related to the matter. I am a law student at delhi university and this was one of my exam question.

Please put exact question as in paper so that we can reply properly.

property self acquired by X will be divided in 1/4 each.

Property ancestral will be divided as 1/8 to wife, 1/8 to daughter, 1/8 to daughter, 5/8 to Son.

Joint family System amoung Hindus of Kerala was abolished with effect from 01.12.1976 by Act 30 of 1976. Thereafter birth in family does not give rise to rights in property .On and after the commencement of this Act, one has no rights to claim any interest in any property of an ancestor during his or her lifetime which is founded on the mere fact that the claimant was born in the family of the ancestor shall be recognized in any court. Joint tenancy was replaced by tenancy in common
