Hi experts,if a husband is not paying maintenance as per the court order.in that case did the court order the husbands father and mother to pay the maintenance to their daughter in law?
prabhakar singh (Expert) 09 August 2013
If husband was ordered only he would be asked to pay not others.

File execution in court.

Husband can be sent to jail on your application if he do not obey the verdict of the court to provide the amount/arrears of the maintenance.

How much time will husband has to spend in jail?
V R SHROFF (Expert) 10 August 2013
It seems, you are for Husband,

and my expert frd advising you to go for execution, by mistake.

If u r for Husband, Wait till she file Execution, as DV itself has no provision like 125 cr p c.

However, if it is unreasonable Order (not under dv sec 23) Appeal is provided u/s 29 of DV Act.
So appeal the Order.
