My wife filed 498A in July 2012. In certified copy I noticed that police had drawn FIR on an unsigned complaint letter. That complaint letter was not even written by my wife.
Charge sheet is not yet filed by IO
Can I go for Quash in high court for FIR based on unsigned complaint letter not even written by the complainaint

Do not go for quashing right now.
Wait till submission of charge sheet as now the Police would get chance to correct the mistake if still existing.

Should I write a letter to IO requesting him to discharge me on the basis of unsigned complaint letter and few other lapses in the complaint letter

No. You should not do this. IO is meant to prove the case. You shall bring the attension of the court during the argument.
