What is mean by "UNION OF INDIA", and what is the complete official address and contact number of "UNION OF INDIA",
I have to file PIL against "UNION OF INDIA", before to file PIL I have to send notice to them.

Let me clear, Prime Minister Office and UNION OF INDIA are same or not. I would like if any one can give me proper address of UNION OF INDIA, because I have to send prior notice of PIL. Please reply.

Actually in my PIL case, I want to make Respondents to Government of India, Can I make Government of India as a Respondent, if yes than what is the address of Government of India.
I saw in old cases of PIL, most of case given Respondents to Union of India, whats why I confuse.
please I guide.

Student's query! The Union of India is represented by several Ministries and the Departments of the Government according to the nature of functions allocated to each of the Ministry/ Department.
So, Mr. Yogesh needs to go through the Constitution of India to understand the term of union of India, Allocation of Business Rules of the Government of India and the structure of various ministries and departments of the Government of India who are functioning for which part of the Government business on behalf of the union of India. A booklet with official addresses of all the Ministries and Heads of Offices can be had from the Publications Division of the Government of India.
