Istridhan

Respected all , I have filed HMA 13. What shold I do her istridhan. Should I sent her back ?

My wife has given the 406/498 complaint in police which at investigation stage .

Stridhan is your personal property which he shall have to hand over to you but court shall order only when you pray for.

But you say you have initiated 406 I.P.C which must be for your stridhan i think.

You can at any point of time show your willingness in court to send her stridhan articles. Let her then apply for those return.

if complaint is at investigation stage offer to return all her streedhan . make a list of items at time of handing over take her acknowledgement that all items have been returned

If criminal complaint under section 406 IPC has already been lodged against you then better to hand over the items of istridhan with proper receipt to the concerned police.
