Not agreeing for Arbitration !

There is an arbitration clause in the family agreement that we have signed in 2007 but due to large scale fraud that has come to my knowledge subsequently two brothers are not comming forward for arbitration and I am told by the experts in this forum that arbitration can not be forced. Things are there fore at stand still and I have suffered max. due to this. Pl. advice if I should go for arbitration in court or straight way file a criminal case against persons involved. Regards,

Politicians - Poll plank agenda

>> say.. party "X" before the election say that they will not have any tie-up with party "Y" but later when they fall short of majority they tie up with "Y" what is the remedy available to public who voted for them based on their agenda.

We have anti-defection law to punish those politicians who cut across party line after winning on one party's ticket..
the interest of the political party is protected... but what about the general public who vote based on their agenda or promise and deviate later..

Resignation and relieving

I am working with ACC Cement as Chief Manager. I resigned on 18th Oct 2010 asking to get relieved from 1st Nov'2010. The notice period when I had joined in 1995 was 1 month but subsequently it was changed to 3 months thru a general circular.
After my resignation I was counseled not to leave the organization. I was verbally given assurance about my immediate carrier progression and a desired transfer to another location. Going by the words of top management I withdrew my resignation in writing on 24th Oct'2010.
Since then almost two and a half months have passed and in spite of my repeated requests nothing has been given to me.
In this scenario do I have a legal right that my resignation withdrawal letter stands invalid and I can be relieved from 18th Jan'2011 based on my resignation letter submitted on 18th October'2010 (completing notice period of 3 months)?
Kindly advise.

`right to employment' not a fundamental right

Dear Experts,

Apex court has aired its view in "Centre for Environment & Food Security ... Versus
Union of India & Ors"
saying that `right to employment' is not included in fundamental right... and cannot be brought in under art 21 at this juncture.... how do you interpret this...

Is Notice period a valid one in Indian Contract Act ?

Dear Sir,

I was an employee in an MNC for about four years. Due to some reason I resigned suddenly one day and didn't gave notice period. I resigned at the mid of a month and when I asked for my half month's salary, I was asked to pay one month's salary as I didn't give them one month's notice period which was mentioned in my Appointment letter.
I just wan't to ask you that is this a valid reason? Or this Notice period clause in the Appointment letter has any leagality as per our laws ?
