Criminal intimidation regarding..

(Querist) 25 July 2015 This query is : Resolved
1. Three years back I am defamed by my inlaws by their posting of fake investigation letters to my organization's Resource manager. The in-laws are smart and hence they created such false logo letters and posted as ordinary post.

2. Recently 6 months back I have received a call from unknown number , threating me for 10-15 secs of call.
When i approached police they told me to ignore such calls.

3. Last week my inlaws along with my wife daunted me near court premises and some unknown ordinaly person involved in the dispute and slapped me
My cousin accompanied me, on that day and suggested me to approach police again.

Immediately we rushed to police station and requested to take the complaint. Since there are no injuries on the face or body they didnt take the complaint.

Can you help me on the following:
1. Can I file criminal intimidation complaint against my in-laws? evidence is six months back phone call, witness is my cousin
2. If yes, how to file Criminal intimidation complaint and to show there is a threat from my in-laws.
3. Can I mention the postage of fake CID logo letters by them (3 years back information), in this complaint to make my complaint effective?

Kindly advise.

comprehensive views can be formed only on seeing the letter.

also please come with full facts of the case. From your post it is not clear why you went to court and how/why they were there.

You have got the option of approaching the Judicial Magistrate under 156(3).

However, this does not appear to be a stand alone incident. Any decision needs to be taken in the totality of circumstances.

Next time record audio/visual.

Show the fake letters to your lawyer.

Submit complaint and obtain seal/date/number on your copy............

Are you not contesting the case thru your lawyer?

Consult your lawyer.

Thanks to all. and special thanks to experts Sudhir , P.Venu and kumar Doab for your responses.

I am contesting and challenging the cases through my lawyer.
The problem is about approachability. I am staying 70 kms faraway from my lawyer . And I cannot talk to him on phone always to put all my concerns or queries or for any clarifications that I get in my mind. Hope u understand my situation.

Further to add, thru this Lawyersclub india forum, I will get online help by different law experts instantly, and is of high use and very much helpful for me. And then based on the inputs from you all, I can put my questions to my lawyer in-person whenever I met him in court or his office, depending on the urgency.

U R welcome in the forum for a good solution, the legal experts take out their precious time to be a part of the forum to assist the needy. The only thing is if U do not post UR problem in detail,we would not be able to give U the required solution. It is UR local lawyer on whom U have rely during the proceedings. But the suggestions of the legal experts here though may vary, but would be useful for U in the conduct of the case.U can certainly appraise UR lawyer the suggestions U have received here.
