Where my wife can file maintanance petition??

hello sir/madam,

We filed divorce case in Bangalore that where me and my wife last resided together. Now my wife will stay with her parents in Andhra. We are expecting she can claim maintance petition very soon??? my question is from where she can file maintanance?? Is the law allows her to claim maintatnce petition from andhra ?? If it so is it my appearance is mandatory before court?? or she can file only from Bangalore.. Plz let me know

She can (shall) file where she chooses her residence.
Appearance on summons by a Court is your choice and advise of your lawyer.

She can file from Andhra if she is residing there.

You can ask your lawyer to appear on your behalf.

Your wife can file petition for maintenance at place where she is residing presently.

If she files a maintenance case from Andhra, you may have to travel tom that place to challenge her case or else you may have to pay the maintenance amount granted in exparte order.
