R/sir i put an application under RTI Act in my Education Department.My department gave me false information because if they give me actual information then their clerk faces many problems in corruption case so to save his clerk school Principal gave me false information but they don not know that i have an actual information so i have written proof by which i show that information given to me under RTI act is false so please tell me that i can put istagasa in lower court under section 217/218 ipc againt school Principal who give me false information to save his corrupt clerk. so please tell me because this Principal also involved in corrupt activities done by school clerk.

No the penal provision does not apply to PIO.If you have any objections in giving the information, you can carried the same by way of an Appeal before the higher authority of whom, the information was given.

agree with expert, apart from this you can file a criminal complaint before court in other section if you have proof of crruption

Yes, as advised by Mr. Baala, you may take up the issue with the higher officer of the head master besides lodging a complaint against the erring officials on the alleged irregularity.
