Dear Advocates,
My marriage certificate name is not correct.
We are RC christians and marriage happened in RC church in coimbatore,tamil nadu.
Now we realize that my wife name and my name is not correct. where to go and correct this?
this is required when I'm applying passport for my wife. please advise steps...

Appy to the Registration authority. They would issue corrected copy.

Apply to the office from where the certificate was issued, fulfill their documentary requirement if any and get the certificate rectified.

Yes, the same authority would make the corrections.

if my understanding is right, passport office needs a marriage cert. issued by registrar of marriages.
If that be so, get the RC church cert,.correctd and based on that registrar may issue marriage cert.
in a hindu marriage, we r aware the registrar of marriages needs marriage photo of bride and groom , and also a wedding card before issuing a marriage cert.
