My family was hindu joint family where my grandparents, father & uncle had bought various good property on family members randomly. Being elder son my uncle used to keep all property papers into his custody. Two yrs back uncle passed away and now we are requesting my aunt for peaceful partition for which she is not agreeing since they are getting monetary benefits i.e rent/agricultural income and avoiding the partition by saying that they misplaced all the property papers. Recovering papers from registrar office is taking lot of time. Please suggest solution for this severe problem.. pl

It is not believable that the taking the attested copies of the property titles from the office of registrar is taking much time. That process takes only a single day.

It is simple. Get the papers from the concerned registrar office as without them you will not be able to prove your right to the property. Getting papers may take some time. Usually it does not take more than a week to get certified copies of the documents of title.
