Murder case

Dear Sir,

One of my friend was accused in a murder case. After the judgement he was found innocent and had been Acquittal.

After Seven years, an inquiry came to him regarding this case.

I want to know, can any inquiry come after the judgement and what he should do if he may implicate further in this regards.

After the passing of judgement no re investigation is possible unless the judgement is later modified or set aside in appeal.
However in that situation the accused person does get chance to put his opposition.

Dear Sir,

Can appeal be filed in upper court in that case after the judgement passed by lower court. If appeal is possible in upper court after the judgement by lower court, can investigation is possible. If not, please let me know what he can do to know the reason to come police officer at his home to investigation.
