Can I charge people for just teaching meditation?

Guest (Querist) 02 September 2010 This query is : Resolved
I have learnt a lot meditations and other life techniques reading and learning from Osho since last twenty years.

Can I teach these techniques to the public and take money from them and issue receipts to them also for the same?

Do I need some type of registration with Govt.?

Is there any ceiling of fee charged in such cases ?

Or would I have to pay service tax ,and if yes,how much?

Yes. You can teach to the public and collect fees for the same. Nothing wrong or illegal in it. You can register your institution as a trust so that you can claim exemptions in law. All depends upon the experienced and nice legal drafting .

Meditation is presently a money making project and any experienced person can start a centre for it.
