Hi
One of our directors( Chairman) passed away.
He had zero share holding.
If we are not able to get his death certificate what should we do

Apply for death certificate from the place where the person died, the hospital record, Municipality record, crematorium where his last rites were conducted all these place where the death record exists, go and get copy of the same. Choose a new director and continue the Company work.

From whom you are not able to get death certificate i.e. from the Municipal authorities or from relatives of the Chairman for completion of formalities with respect to his chairmanship, since you have mentioned about his shareholding also.

What for your company secretary or chartered accountants are there, if they can't guide you properly or discharge their duties appropriately after the death of the Director (Chairman)?

Also, death certificate can be taken only by the relatives, who cremated him, why the company can expect to be granted with his death certificate?

Municipality is not expected to oblige any unconcerned person, like a company, to grant death certificate, whosoever approaches them.

Send a responsible official to O/o Registrar Births and Deaths and ask for getting copy of death certificate of deceased that was also Director of a Company.....

Company ke adhikari jo bara bara kaam karvate hain iske bare me bhi achi tarah se maloomaat kar sakte hain................e.g; RTI route.
