our management is planning to put an additional charge for HR on me. Please advise is it advisable for a Finance Personnel to take charge for HR.

If they are increasing your salary and you have got expertise of HR then you can safely take the charge.

thank you, as far expertise is concerned i cant say that I am big expert in the field of HR. I still keep learning so many things.

Not a legal query. Purely depend on you and your Management, if not willing, may search another job. Refusal may not help your survival with the company.

If the management has decided to elevate your position or official capacity which may be a progress in your career, why dont you accept it and develop your career. There is nothing wrong in learning a new subject and climbing up with the given opportunity. Analyse the pros and cons and decide.
