Suit for declaration of date of birth

by mistake I mention wrong date of birth in passport application form now the officials ask me to file petition for declaration of date of birth , does the suit maintainable , how to go about it kindly mention

Execute an affidavit, THERE IS NO NEED FOR DECLARATORY SUIT FOR THIS ONLY.

If you have proof of your correct date of birth and you have erroneously filled-in the pass port application form, you can give sworn affidavit that the error is crept erroneously and your correct date of birth ...and the the documents like birth certificate, SSC Certificate all show the same date of birth. You can submit this affidavit to the Pass Port authorities.

If you are having enough proofs of correct date of birth, contact the passport office to get it corrected.

affidavit should suffice as you must be having other documents regarding your date of birth
