Personal loan fraud

(Querist) 13 February 2015 This query is : Resolved
Hi

A few days ago, I saw an advertisement pasted on a wall that mentioned a contact number for personal loan. I thought it was a broker's number. I contacted the person and asked for a personal loan of Rs. 65000 because I really needed it, then. He told that I'd have to pay an EMI of Rs. 2200 for 36 months. I agreed. He asked me to deposit Rs. 3000 as the processing fee. I did that. After that he told that Rs. 70000 has been sanctioned do I need to pay something more against that. I have paid an amt of Rs. 8000 in all, but got no loan in return. I have the phone number and the name of the person and his account number as well. Can you please guide me as to what I should do to handle this??

1. Don't act in such matter again.

2. Obtain the address from a/c number and record all calls and narrate the loan was promised, and amounts were paid by you and thus build record and let him agree and even if demand more from you......

3. The police staff can obtain the ownership details from mobile number, immediately .....

4. Approach an able lawyer and let the complaint be filed ASAP.....and catch the person before he disappears....

It seems you have been cheated in the name of personal loan. Inform police.

Thank you people, for your reply!! But the person doesnot answer calls. I tried callinghim so many times. If I approach his bank will they reveal his address to me? Probably banks wouldnot reveal details of their customers to others..If any body has any experience in this let me know please.
