498a fake witness

In fir she doesn't mentioned about the witness neither before judge nor her family members said anything about the witness. How much important are the witness 2 auto rickshaw fake witness. Is their any law that who can be witness.

Police can mention any person as witness in charge sheet from whom Police took information during information.
if they are fake, it would help the defence in cross examination.

In criminal cases police can mention any person supposed to know some fact / may have important information about the case.

witness is not necessary if the matter is matrimonial dispute, the complainant is sufficient if there is another witness too then the opposite party may cross them.
