I have an order against Agarwal packers to pay me compensation for damaged household goods by Consumer Forum Valsad Gujarat.
I have all the evidences and feel that the compensation given to me is not just.Also the forum has not levied any penalty against opposite party inspite of gross negligence.The order justifies this due to non availability of purchase bills and goods being used for some time though the damaged goods photographs were mailed to party immediately.Also refund of my payments due to negligent service has not been incorporated though negligence is accepted.
Need to know if can appeal at state level.Where is the Gujarat State forum.Also I shall not be able to travel though I have represented myself in this case.

Any of you if aggrieved by the order can file appeal in state commission.
If you engage an advocate to look after your case, you need not travel for the same.

Thanks for prompt reply.
How can I locate a right advocate who can followup my case.I am not from legal field so have no idea of pursuing it further but feel that it is a very strong case and district forum should have penalized the opposite party heavily.

If not happy with the decision of the forum, appeal in state commission.
You have to search the lawyer suitable to the needs of your case.
If compensation increased by the state commission it may or may not fulfill your lawyers fee in state commission.

I too agree with the views of experts that if you are aggrieved with the order of the district forum, you may prefer an appeal before the state commission located at Ahmadabad. If you can go to that place, you can prefer appeal as party in person.
