defamation suits

before filing a defamation suit i sent a legal notice to the defendants by registered post. but the refuses the notice. what can i do now?

If the defendant has refused to acknowlege or accept the post it amounts to proper service of the notice by you.

It doesn't matter whether he has received or refused. mere registration of post on your [art is sufficient to prove that you had sent prior notice.
