Ancestral property class -2 share

Dear sir's,

can a legal heir i.e. grandson in class -2 demands share in the ancestral property where father is survive.
plz help me ...

The Grand Son's Rights are through his father only. o in this case he is not having any direct right over the grand Pa's property.
However he can claim his share through his father as the property is of ancestral one by nature.

If the property is ancestral in nature, the grandson can claim a share out of his father's legitimate share in the said ancestral property.
