I have a foreign power of attorney issued in June 2006. It was registered in India. I purchased a piece of land for for drawee. The documents got registered after paying stamp duty as per Jantri Rates.
Now for the entry in land revenue records, the Circle Officer has raised objection. He said the POA was not stamped by the Collector (within 3 months-).
Please let me know your advice - 1. Whether we can get the POA stamped at the Collector office after 6-7 years of delay? 2. Any other remedy in lieu of this formality?

1. C Officer is right. Without such stamping/adjudication foreign POA has no force for land transfers in India. It is too late now. get a fresh one executed and stamped. 2. No. Get fresh one done.
