Personally visit the Delhi Bar Council office and fulfil their requirements thereto.
Anirudh (Expert) 25 June 2013
First you have to obtain the Form. For this you have to deposit Rs. 1000/- and produce the paid challan. Thereupon, BC of Delhi (either at High Court Premises or at the BC Office at Siri Fort). The Form is non-transferable.

You have to fill up the form, obtain the recommendation from Two Advocates who have experience of 10 years and above practice (this has to be done in the form itself), enclose your passport size photographs), attach (i) provisional degree certificate (ii) attendance certificate (iii) the mark sheets of all semesters (in your case it may be yearly marksheet) etc. (iv) proof of your date of birth (v) Your basic degree certificate. You have to bring both Original as well as attested true copies of the same. You will submit both originals and attested copies. Original will be returned to you sometime after enrolment.

Minimum two visits are required - 1 for obtaining the form and all requisite information and the second visit for submission of the duly filled in Form with all the attachments.

After verifying the complete filled up form with all its enclosures, the Dealing Clerk will give a challan to enable you to remit the enrolment fee Rs. 8,900/-. This normal enrolment process will take not less than 3 to 4 weeks.

However, there is a "TATKAL SCHEME" available for quick enrolment. This involves payment of additional amount of Rs. 3000/-. In the Tatkal Scheme, the application Form will go in circulation amongst the Bar Council Encolment Committee Members and Chairman and one can get the Enrolment Number within 2-3 days.

Due to heavy infighting amongst Bar Council Members, the functioning of Delhi Bar Council is totally unsatisfactory. The Official Website is not working as it has been suspended. Nobody picks up the telephone numbers. Therefore one has to personally visit and make enquiries.

thank u for ur guidance.please solve one more querry-- can I serve as retainer in any firm without enrollment
Anirudh (Expert) 25 June 2013
You can. But the retainer fee that you get will not qualify as 'professional income' as you have not become a professional. You will become a professional only after enrolment as an Advocate.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 25 June 2013
Agreed with the experts, nothing more to add.
Rajeev Kumar (Expert) 25 June 2013
Agreed with experts. No need of further addition.
