Street cricket nuisance????

(Querist) 21 April 2013 This query is : Resolved
under what grounds can a neighbour/house owner in a locality object to a group of 8-10 boys playing street cricket?? the following to be noted:

1. there has never been any damage to property

2. the boys play every saturday and sunday between 1630-1800hrs

3. no other resident of the locality has a problem, infact they come to watch..

4. and for what its worth all these boys are well educated :)

there has been a history of bad blood between the residents of the area and that one "problematic neighbor".. nothing violent but they "problematic neighbor" did puncture the tyres of one of our cars parked on the road.. however , we have ignored that..

thanks..

every society / colony has some sadistic person who do not like children to play. Nothing new about it.

how is puncturing of tyres relevant to this it is a matter of guess.

then what is ur problem? let them play.
nikhil (Querist) 21 April 2013
Mr Nanda , i believe you read my question incorrectly.. i am all for the boys playing as i have my younger brother playing there as well.. its just one neighboring house in the locality that finds this to be a menace... and they have threatened to call the police..
my question is under what grounds can the police take action , if any at all ??

You convince that person who is unnecessary creating problem
Devajyoti Barman (Expert) 22 April 2013
The police can not take any action.

Under the provision of section 133 crpc the police at most give its report to Magistrate.
R.K Nanda (Expert) 22 April 2013
police cannot take action.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 23 April 2013
I do endorse the advice of the experts.
P. Venu (Expert) 23 April 2013
Law need not be concerned of trivialities; they cure by themselves.
ajay sethi (Expert) 23 April 2013
cops wont take action as objective is to encourage kids to play . his objections will fall on deaf years
