I would like to know about the legal procedures that are required for a person to convert from hindu to christain . i have read an article stating that for a person to convert to christainity a 30 days advance notice is to be given to the civil magistrate as per the Indian State Hingh Court law.As i would like to convert to christianity i would like to know about the legal aspects

If not, would you share that attracts you more to center on Christ against
the SANATAN DHRAMA WHICH IS AS OLD AS HUMANITY IS.
Although you are free to adopt any spirituality but due to experience of FORCE AND ALLUREMENT many states in India have enacted laws to be followed for any such conversion. Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan,Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh,Jharkhand and Uttarakhand all have their own laws.
So you have to look into state law in force where you are.

Percentage of Hindus population in THIS HINDUSTAN, are reducing drastically.
At the same time 4% Muslim population at independence day 1949 had grown to 4 times rise of 300%
Hindu population dropped by 20%
The Reason cited for Hindus converting to Muslim or Christian , by Hinduism Activist that other Religion offer money, education, shelter, or use force, allure, and compel the uneducated poor class of Hindus.
Many cases of forced/ lured conversions are reported. criminal complains on both the sides were lodged.
Also check majority of criminals follow which Religion??? Why crimes are on increase, Who are becoming Richer and Richer?? Who are named in Terrorism, D Company, Who compel Hindus to sell their property at throw away price, Who are Land Mafia. I SAY MAJORITY, & R THEY NOT CONVERTED?? r THEY NOT AVAILING ALL gov. BENEFITS IN THE NAME OF WEAKER SECTION, AND MINORITY COMMUNITY??
ARE THEY NOT DOMINATING SANATAN DHRAMA WHICH IS AS OLD AS HUMANITY IS....
Religion conversion , WILLINGLY and VOLUNTARY is allowed, and state enacted Laws to see it is really WILLINGLY and VOLUNTARY.
Should we control illegale conversion of Relegion or not?? at least in Hindustan/ India.
On Division, Pakistan retained their name, Pakistan, But Hindusthan became India, not HINDUSTAN.
NONE OF MUSLIN OR CHRISTIAN CONVERTED TO HINDU IN PAKISTAN,OR IN INDIA.
LAKHS OF HINDUS CONVERTED TO MUSLIM AND CHRISTIANS IN INDIA.
CHECK THE PERCENTAGE OF HINDU BORN GIRL CONVERTED AND MARRIED TO MUSLIMS.
and CHECK THE PERCENTAGE OF MUSLIMS BORN GIRL CONVERTED AND MARRIED TO HINDUS.

you have not mentioned the state wherein you are residing . as advised by prbhakar singhji please cross check whether the state you are residing has passed any law relating to conversion .

Thanks to everyone for their expert advice.Im from kerala and is there any legal procedure which should be known for converting my religion.And this is my personal decision.

If you have to convert then contact a church. They know the relevant provision and practice very well and well financed for this job.

Simple.Visit a chrch or a pastor where you can get conversion.Yet,you will have to notify the change of religion through a gazette publication.
