i am purchasing a property which will be registered in next few days. the seller is going thru a divorce proceedings. my question is after the sale deed is registered, can my ownership of the flat be challanged by the wife.

if property is standing i name of seller onlyy he is free to sell the property . cross check whether any injunction order from court has been obtained restraining sale of property

go and meet secretary of the society . in case any injunction order has been passed intimation would have been given to society not to trasfer the falt

i have already talked to the builder who is ready to transfer the flat in my name. So if he transfers the flat in my name, can i believe that everything is fine then. one more thing, iam taking a loan for buying the property and the bank has already done the leagal & techinacal formalities and passed the loans

if bank has done due diligence and passed your loan you are safe . further buildrr has agreed to transfer flat then you cna go ahead . however make payment by cheque

major portion of the payment will be made by cheque. however some portion has to be given in cash.

You shall not face any problem in future due to pending litigation of the seller in any way so go ahead as already advised.
