Pagdi system flat renowation

I am staying in an pagdi owned flat with my parents since last 6-7 years at dombivli. Few of our neighbors were renovating their flats & the landlord denied them to do so. Now i am willing to renovate mine flat & it seems that landlord is going to create a problem & wont allow us to renovate. Please let me know weather he posses a right to stop us or else what steps could be taken against the same?

the rental agreement entered into by you with landlord contains a clause that no renovations can be carried out wiithout consent of landlord . you need his permission to carry out renovations .

he must be wanting some money to give permission . make application in writing for permission

study the clauses given in the rent agreement and if permission is to be obtained from the landlord for renovations, then adhere to it
