Can a gifted property be mutuated ? if yes what is the procedure ..

I have a property in hyderabad. i got it as a gift from my father through a gift registry. when i enquired in the GHMC office they said that sale deed is must for that property .
Plz let me knw whether is there a better way that you can come out for this .

was gift dee duly stamped and registered? if gift deed is duly stamped and registered it would transfer roperty in your name . you dont need sale deed

Gift deed duly stamped and registered is enough to transfer property from your father to you. Aren't they asking the sale deed by which your father acquired the ownership on the poroperty? Find out.

if gift deed is stamped and registered, the property can be transfered in ur name.
