I regret that taking divorce after contest is really time consuming.
Only in mutual divorce it is possible within 6 months.
I would however suggest you to show more patience and tolerance. It takes time to work out a marriage.

Dear George

It is mandatory provision of laws that a divorce suit to be filed after one year of separation, try to file a Divorce suit on mutual consent with your husband, failing which you can file divorce suit on contest under Indian Divorce Act.

Yes, you are entitled to get divorce.

I am really curious to know from dear Nadeem which court in India decides finally a contested divorce suit within a year.

Dear Querist,

I am not going to deal with the legalities for obtaining divorce. At the outset after being with your inlaws for just two months, you have come to a conclusion of obtaining divorce from your husband putting your other 50 years of wedlock at stake.Marriage is considered to be a one time religious and traditional occassion in human life.It is the duty of both the husband and wife to safegaurd it.The reasons youquoted are very minute in nature and can be repaired. So kindly try to settle the issue amicably and I am sure your husband too would extend his role for a solution.

He is not at all ready to solve the problems.
ajay sethi (Expert) 07 June 2012
if your husband is not ready to give you divorce it will take you years to get divorce . go to marriage counsellor to resolve your problems . if you want mutual consent divorce you have to stay separate for a year then apply for divorce
George (Querist) 07 June 2012
He is ready to give divorce.I got married in jan 2012.I am a christian. Only after 1 yr of marriage i can divorce. Then what about the legal separation and maintenance?Whats the procedure for it?
ajay sethi (Expert) 07 June 2012
you have to wait for 1 year . you cn amake application for maintenance .
George (Querist) 07 June 2012
Ok.Is there any separate application form for maintenance? My things are in his home and i am at my home.
SAINATH DEVALLA (Expert) 07 June 2012
The problem is yours and not your husband's,hence try for a councelling or wait for one year. After analysing I think you are not 100% sincere in your query, something vital is missing.
George (Querist) 07 June 2012
Its not my fault...My parents understood it.I haven't written the whole story.
SAINATH DEVALLA (Expert) 07 June 2012
I am not criticising you for your approach,I still feel your marital life can be repaired, instead of running after courts, with number of cases from either side and wasting time and money.
