Dear Members
I had made a request for information under RTI Act from PIO of Zone III Corporation of Chennai. 30 days have lapsed and no information has been given.
I want to get confirmation from L/Club members that I can approach State Information Commission against PIO and that petition to first appellate authority should be only if I am not satisfied by the information given by PIO

You may go directly to state commission or may file appeal to first appellate authority. It is advised to approach and file appeal before first appellate authority.

since the PIO has failed to reply you within 30 days of time, it amounts to deemed refusal of request for information on the part of PIO. you are advised to approach the FAA against non supply of information by PIO for better results.
