Father-in-law's property

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 07 January 2012 This query is : Resolved
My Father-in-law died without making any will and without dividing his land property. My husband also expired and didn't get any share of his father's property. My husband was the elder son of the family with a brother and four sisters. Can i claim for the property of my deceased father-in-law being the wife of his deceased elder son ?? If yes, then how will be the total property divided among all the heirs?? Please reply as soon as possible !!

when did your father in law die? beisdes your deceased husband and his 4 sis and one borher is your mother in law alive .

if your father in law died intestae your husband would have 1/6th share in property .

on your husbnad death you are entitled to the share of your husband in his father property

My Father-in-law died in the year 2001 and my husband expired in 2011. My Mother-in-law and her second son and 4 daughters are alive. My sister-in-law's are married. Will they too get equal shares ?? I would get 1/6th share in the property of my Father-in-law isn't it ??
