Clarification of doubt in reagrds to impugned order

(Querist) 16 November 2011 This query is : Resolved
Sir, Being law student I came across the Impugned order passed by various Tribunal and courts which the advocate challenge it by the way of Writ Petition in Appellate Courts
Normally the Impugned order is the order passed by the court in various suits some times the litigants files the reviw/Revision petition before the courts and the courts dismissed them either by circulation or upon hearing
If we say that order passed by the court in Review Petition is the Impugned Order and if the Apellate court set aside the Impugned order then it means that Review Petition is sustained ?
What I was perceiving that Impugned order is only the order passed in suit/petition only ?? whether it is correct to say that order passed/ or dismissing the review Petition upholding its previous order is the Impugned order..??

read the various procedures first...civil as well as criminal

and the concept of Judicial Review as well.

Impugned order is the order passed by one court and challenged in higher court. So even
an order passed by High Court would be referred to as impugned order when challenged before supreme court.

Impugned order/judgment/decree means the order/judgment/decree under consideration of the court hearing it in appeal.
