ssc certificate initial name correction

Actually my name is NALAMALAPU SWAROOPA RANI but in my SSC certificate,it is NALAMALPU SWAROOPA RANI.one 'A' is missing in my initial.i need to correct it..
kindly tell me the procedure and requirements for correction..

Is there any specific reason for the correction viz are you applying for any passport, PAN card etc.... please reply for proper guidance in the matter.
