property dispute

Dear sir/madam,
My father purchased a 60x40 plot in Bangalore from a builder in June 2002. It's a agricultural (revenue) land.we have constructed a two storied residential building on 30x40,remaining 30x40 portion vacant and also in possession of it from feb 2004.Two years back we came to know that our builder had acquired this land (approx.1 acre 11 guntas)through an unregistered GPA,valid from June 2002 to Aug 2002 converted land into 30 sites and builded houses and never got the GPA or land registered in his name.In June 2006, original land lords filed the suit against the builder for seling their land to us without getting it registered. The builder is not turning up for court hearings and we fear court may settle case ex-parte.
points in our favour:
1)Original land lords are living in our vicinity and were fully aware of all developements ,moreover one of the land lord had supplied construction materials for all the houses built on disputed land.
2)They filed the suit almost 4 years after we bought these sites, which I think is in contravention of the Law of Limitation.
3)They have also received around 90% of sale consideraion and remaing is outstanding from the builder.
We are about 30 families living on this disputed land and are worried a lot.
Pleasw give your opinion.

Notice Period

Dear Sir / Madam

I was employed with a Swiss MNC at Hyderabad since APril 3, 2006 as Manager. I had sent my resignation on March 12, 2008 however my immediate supervisor (DGM) approved it and treated my last working day as March 14, 2008. My ex employer doesn't seem to be bothered about my F&F and are not giving my relieving. Citing a recovery or any other foul play, they can make it an interpretation issue. I need some advice on dealing with the same as I'm going through mental tension as I'm aware of their mentality to harass exiting employees. My current job could also be at a stake because of their behaviour.

Please advice.

How to take time to repay legally so that we can be in safeside

My name Deepak, age 23 years. I took loan and started one office where I was doing data entry job work from few of companies. Just one month was passed one person came to me with a proposal of data entry work for which he asked for security deposit to be submitted to the company to get that work. But since I was not having enough money he said me to collect few members through advertisement or friend circle and tell them to deposit the amount and get the work. I did same. My friends and few strangers came to him he convinced and they get ready then they submitted Rs.5000/-, Rs.7500/- or Rs.15000/- depending upon their capacity and this way Rs.2 Lakh was collected by me. But they were asking for security so I gave in writing on stamp paper that my company is taking so much of amount and that it is refundable and we will be giving job work every month. I forwarded that money to that person who after a month run away by that time. First job work was finished and all members where asking for another job. I took that job work and then since it was taking long time after few days I meet that person he said that he will give transfer to my account on so date against which I gave my cheques to all the members. But on that date he failed to deposit the amount. Then he made many promises he wrote a declaration on stamp paper that he has took 2 Lacs from me regarding this project and he will return on so date. And that date also came and gone but he failed to do so. After that he made many promises and now those members started doing case or complaint over me. Once I complaint against that person to police but taken back when he started giving money after 7 month but now he returned just Rs.35000/- and started promising again. I just to know what I can do to be safe as all members have on writings from me they say they don’t know that person. Now, may be he return back or not also but I will return them money back but I need few time to do so. So, what kind of law we can use to be safe in which we can ask for time under which I will return the amount to all the members. Please if any one can help on this matter. I not have too much of money to hire lawyer for this. Already facing financial crises due to such problems.

My problems now is that
- that person is not coming who played this game.
- He just keep smsing that on so much that he will transfer some amount.
- Then late days he send half or full of his said money.
- The members are now not ready to wait they started doing cases or complaint on me.
- If there is any law, under which that person has to come in front. Or if I can ask for time to repay all of them of which I paid Rs.60000 till now.
- Please help in this regards.

Thanks in advance.

A general term

Dear Experts first of all wishing u a very cheerful coming f/y.

If a person has to take back his money from someone and no legal papaer had been maintained at the time of money lending, then in this case for which time(how long) the lender can sue the borrower for returning money.
(only oral contract has been maintained b/wn them.)

Civil Procedure

A deed is bought to me wherein there are signs of contracting parties. Suppose if I don't know who the contracting parties are. But despite that I sign. Later one of the contracting parties claim that he has not signed. The court calls me . In case I plead that I have signed in Ignorance, what are the consequences to me as a witness? Will I be liable for Criminal proceedings? Will I be liable for payment of any compensation?

Discontinuing Essential Services

Dear Sir/Madam,

Which is the Law/Act that states that discontinuing essential services (water/electricity by builder or Resident Welfare Association) to an individual is violation of civil rights? We get unjustified maintenance bills & when questioned, the Association threatens to disconnect water.

If I choose to proceed legally, what will be the approximate time/expense I will have to bear before I get justice? Pl. advise.

Thanks,
Usha Avinash
