Enough is Enough. You leave your brother in law for good. You all encourage her after she comes out of trauma that she is sufficiently qualified FOR GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT. OR SOME BUSINESS WHERE SHE CAN MAKE GOOD INCOME OF HER own.. File MCD IF HUSBAND AGREES Divorce WILL BE GRANTED IN MAXIMUM IN 6 MONTHS. OR FILE AS CONTESTED DIVORCE ON THE GROUND OF MENTAL AND PHYSICAL CRUELTY. file DOMESTIC violence CASE WHERE YOU CAN GET PROTECTION ORDERS, maintenance ORDERS,COMPENSATION FOR INJURIES, CUSTODY OF CHILDREN IF THEY ARE BELOW 6 AND RESIDENTIAL ORDERS.You can file section 498 A proceedings as well. For Dowry harassment and cruelty against her harassing husband and in laws.

If your sister is thrown out of her matrimonial home and not allowed to enter, then immediately complaint against them should be lodged against these people along with husband with local police.
Your sister should also file complaint against her husband and his relatives for domestic violence with judicial magistrate and seek maintenance for herself and minor children. She should seek injunction order against these people preventing them to throw her out of the matrimonial home.

The situation certainly is uncomfortable, but what matters is the stand of your sister.
