Hello, I have recently got enrolled in the bar council of Karnataka. According to my knowledge, now I can practice law in the court. But I am not clear about what are the DOs and DONTs even after getting enrolled in a state bar council. I would like to know whether I still remain as a dependent until I pass All India Bar Examination which allows for more power. Thanks in Advance.

Presently you would be eligible to Practice in Courts only after getting passed in the AIBE .

Guidance from some senior is better for practical knowledge and procedure though not mandatory. You are entitled to practice after enrollment.

If you are registered with BCK, it implied that you have already passed BCI exam, isn't it? Seek guidance from a local senior lawyer.

Enrollment in BCI doesn't entitles you for Practice unless and until you Pass in AIBE exam

For DOs and DONTs of Advocates, kindly refresh by going though the Advocates Act and as well as Professional Ethics for Lawyers. I am sure, you know that passing of AIBE is now mandatory requirement for independent practice and till then you can practice under a Senior Advocate.
