Lease deed with wrong owner

I have taken a flat on rent ,but now I have come to know that the licensor is not the owner .The flat is owned by brother of the licensor . Is such lease deed valid?

INTROSPECT ON THIS:
1. The "legal right" to object on the Lease Deed, is vested "only" with the Flat-Owner and NOT WITH ANYBODY ELSE, WHOSOEVER.
2. In legal parlance, the "Lease Deed" is valid "enough" for all purposes, "till" the Flat-Owner does not object. FURTHER, it "may" be possible that the Flat-Owner may have given CA rights to his brother.

The owner knows about the lease ,Says the deed is valid .I have paid a huge deposit also..who is liable to payback when the leasedeed is invalid legally .?
