Obtain the sucession certificate for deceased settlement

My mother has fixed deposit in well known bank and she deceased on september 2015. and for those fixed deposit unknown person in my family is given as nominee, and relation shown as son. i am only child of my mother. i asked bank to provide the orginal nomination from signed by mother for which bank replied saying orginal nomination form lost/not traceable so obtain sucession certificate. i feel bank has done mistake while entering the nomination so requested them to pay the cost of obtain sucession certificate. which they are not ready. guide me how this problem can be resolved

Do you know the person nominated by mother?
Does bank have the address of Nominee?
Submit your letter to BM under proper acknowledgment and attach copy of say School Certificate showing name of mother and ask to show the original and supply you a copy..
The bank is liable to keep the original and might have kept the digital image with third party.
If required pursue the RTI route.
Approach higher officials e.g. Circle Officer, MD...........
It might be that blank form was signed and
bank employee filled and committed some error.

Bank may not agree to avoid nominee entered with it.
Bank is not supposed to pay you expenses for obtaining succession certificate.
For getting the deposit either have amicable settlement with the so called nominee and Bank or obtain succession certificate.

As per the nature of description, it seems to be a strange hypothetical academic query of a law student, more so when the author wants to claim the deposit of the deceased that too at the cost of the bank to bear the expenditure of succession certificate also!

There is nothing like: 'Strange Query', 'Hypothetical Query', 'Academic Query' and a 'Querist' to be branded as some student, 'Law Student'.
The person that has pasted picture of a very old and sick man in 1st post from top is habitual of posting sickening comments for many years.
His condition has worsened as rightly noted some months back for the last 8-10 months.
Now it is even more than that.
He has posted that his habits are 'Die Hard' habits.
Despite getting befitting responses he is struggling to keep his diseases of littering abuse and nuisance at LCI.
The query by NO author is say: academic and NO author is treated as student.
