Sir in the year 2006 in my college one of my collegue met with an accident and died. So students of our college did strike by jamming g.t. road of kanpur. Police men tried to release the strike but students didn't agreed and there was a clash between students and police, resulting lathi charge by police.it was evening aruond 7pm.I was not in the spot and police stated arresting students by searching them, in the mean time i along with 12 students were arrested by the police and filed fir against us by police and college administration too.
Now i have been selected in central govt. Job in written test. Whether this could affect my selection??
Please provide me a proper guidance sir...

What was the findings of the court?

Whether you were punished by the court in the case?
M V Gupta (Expert) 26 December 2016
If the FIR registered against u is only for participation in agitation launched by the students and does not contain any allegation of violence or other act of criminal nature, it may not come in the way of ur appointment in the Govt. Further if the police have not filed charge sheet in the court FIR will not be any problem.

I agree with Mr.Gupta.

Show the FIR to a local lawyer for proper appreciation and guidance.
However, participation in an agitation in peaceful manner should not affect in joining your job.

May proceed as guided by the expert Dr J C Vashista.

Agreed with Mr Bharat

I am not able to agree with other views.

You will not be allowed to join as long as FIR (at any stage) is pending against you and unless acquitted on merits.

In the absence of status on and after arrest, it seems to be merely a hypothetical academic query.
