Not delivered the courier by DTDC

I booked an item through online site and at that time I clearly given my adress with pincode. That time it shows home delivery item.
After few days I got a call from local hub of DTDC to collect the item from there store. The shipment willnot deliver to my doorstep because my adress belongs to non serviceable area.it happans few days before and I tried to contact customer care. They didn't give any positive response.

Can I file an appeal to consumer court against the service of courier company. ...?
Pls advice. .

Yes, complaint in consumer forum will lie if the service provider did not specify your address to be beyond their service zone.

Did you record the call and/or minute it and get confirmation from service provider that your address is out of service area, of courier?

You are not a party to the contract. The online supplier engaged the courier and deficiency in service. Any complaint should be filed by him only, not by you. Do not waste time and money on this trivial issue.

The nature of query suggests that it is a law student's academic query, not a real problem.

The question arises, when the address was not in the service area, why the vendor would book through that courier or why the courier company would book the article for an area not served by it.

Your case doesn't come under the purview of Consumer protection Act.Firstly there is no priviti of contract between you and courier company .Secondly your residence area does not come under the service zone of courier company, so
there is no deficiency in services on part of courier company.
