I am a member of agriculture family and i got a certificate from revenue authority with regard to that effect also.
I purchase some agriculture land got it registered in my name and thereafter i was served with a notice from Assistant Commissioner Revenue, that my registration is going to be cancelled and given a notice under section 79 A&B of the land reforms act. Actually i wanted to defend this case by showing that i have purchased the land from my income. But the authority insist that they are taking into consideration of the income of my family.
Can you please provide some citation to justify my contention that the i have purchased the said land from my income and that only take into consideration other than family income.
Please help me by providing your valuable advise as well as some important judgements in this context.

i would like to know, where is the property siutated in which state, because the laws are different in different states.

yea! Mahesh kumar is correct in questioning u sir, As the local law also applies some times. Are u an agriculturist? what job do u do what is ur income-status etc.. if u prove that u hold a good income to purchase the land without interfence of anybodies help in purchase of property independently, then frm which income u purchased it u clarify the same when enquired. show some supporting documents if any to the revenue authority to prove it. r u an income tax payee?

Dear Members,
I am really happy to hear from you and as you rightly said you required the details of land and the place where it situated.
The property is situated at Sira TAluk, Tumkur District, Karnataka
It is also relevent to note that i have been issued with a certificate that i belong to Agricultural family by the Tahasildar of the state i belongs.

According to me a person who is agriculturist can purchase the agr.land.Non agr.cannot purchase agr.land,and question of income is only enquired if you seek permission tobe agriculturist.
