Person intended to file suit for damages as she was defamed so is civil defamation is enough or not

respected seniors,

the one person had defamed by the other person, he is relative to her, she want to file defamation suit against him for damages of her reputation. so, in this context, i would like to ask your good office whether civil defamation is enough or not? if so how much of amount to sue against defandant? may clarify.

you will ned up spending lot of money on legal fees .in addition suit for damages takes 20 years to be disposed of atleast in mumbai . is it worth it ?

Civil defamation is maintainable though the petitioner shall have to pay court fee as per claim of the case.

Agreed with Shri Raj & Ajay,

Though discouraging, its are hard fact.
So one have to drop idea of civil defamation
