CAN ANYONE TEL ME
WHAT IS THE COST OF FILING FOR A SUCCESION CERTIFICATE IN MUMBAI & HOW IS THE VALUE CALCULATED ON A FLAT THAT IS APPROXMETLY 538 SQUARE FEET AS I NEED TO HAV ANY IDEA OF HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST TO DO SO PLEASE HELP

cost varies ,. depend upon lawyer to lawyer . no fixed costs can be mentioned . court fees are maximum RS 75,000 for issue of successon certifcate

For CF you refer the court fee and stamp act and lawyers fee it depends on your lawyer.

Succession certificate requires 3% stamp duty in many States so first of all get assessed the value of the property and then calculate it at your own level then include litigation expenses.
