Down payment about under construction building

(Querist) 28 August 2012 This query is : Resolved 
Dear Sir,

I have done partly payment of down payment Rs.50000/- for under construction in virar east. Now builder is saying that's project canceled and I have not getting my payment back. He gave us cheque but bank is saying that company closed it's a/c; kindly advice how I can get my money back

issue legal notice to builder . move consumer forum for deficency in service against the builder
