HI Experts,
We have filed a Domestic Violence, Dowry case against my brother in Law in Nigeria.
Kindly guide as to what are the options I have in order to get him to trial in front of the court as His Lawyer has been claiming that he is gone abroad for work and doesn't know when he will returm.

Serve summons of case on him by publication
in Newspaper by the order of court.

Hi Sir,
Many thanks for the Quick response.
Just to give a Background on this:
Mather in law, Sister in law have taken bail against their charges.
Husband has been issued a warrant against him as he is stillnot appeared in front of the court.
On these grouds should our appoach change or shall we go ahead with Paper Publication.
Also let us know how this will impact as he is still abroad, I mean to ask how will this make a difference in the case.
Just ot add Court have given us permission to go ahead with paper Publication.
Please let us know how should we proceed on basis of above said facts.

In your initial post itself you should give the complete history,so that the experts can understand and give you proper advice.When the court has given you permission what stops you from giving paper publication? Go ahead immediately,and submit a copy of the publication to the court.

Let law takes its own course, he would be declared PO and then his property would be attached.
He can delay the trial but can not escape his liabilities.

Was he out of country on the date case was filed and address given in case is local?
Any way when it is born out now on record that he is out of country,steps of service should accordingly be taken.
