Dear sir

i made an accident in small town. case registered and i accept my mistake by which session court gave the verdict to pay the fine of 2500 rs which i paid and acquitted from the charges . sir i want to know what is the maximum time period for appeal in high court after this judgement.

The period of appeal is 30 days but who shall make an appeal when you accepted your guilt?

If you accepted the mistake in the manner of accident and the court fined you and acquitted than who will appeal in the high court.

First of all, yours is triable by magistarte court and not sessions court.

Secondly, on your plea of guilt, you have been convicted and sentenced to pay fine and not ACQUITTED.

you can appeal u/s 375 cr.p.c. to the extent of quantum and legality of sentence.

I fully share views of Mr Venkatesh Rao. I will add that you have been let off with a fine of Rs 2500/-. The victim could appeal for larger punishment of fine or Jail for you.

Since he is acquitted after having paid that amount, it may have been compounded as well. If that's the case - No appeal from either side.
