Applicability of minimum wages

Dear Team,

If establishment (principal employer) i.e Telecom Company have got licence from central govt then which minimum wage applicable on his contract labour. State otherwise centeral?

As the work shall have to be taken from the labour in different states so the minimum wages of those particular states shall be applicable thereon.

Minimum wages ACt of the place where the labour is engaged will have to be followed. Wages are State Subject. Hence even the Central Govt establishments will have to follow the State law.

Appropriate Govt for telecom company is central govt. as such central Min wages would be applicable in the present case not of the state where the company is situated.
