Non occupancy charges

Sir,

We have given flat on leave and licence basis.

The societyis charging us Non Occupancy charges @ 10% of rent received.

But I came to know that it should be 10% of the service charges ( Excluding Municipal taxes).

So kindly guide me whether soceity is charging correct or I have to file the complaint in Registrar of society.

the society has to charge only 10%of service charges . society cannot charge you 10%of rent received

As per advised of Mr. Ajay Sethi, you can move complaint in Registrar of society.

Depends on the Rules of the society.
In case of violation, apply to the Registrar of society.

Study the Bye Laws of the society and rules they enforced for the same and work accordingly.
