Query regarding MACT case.

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 04 August 2011 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I had met with an Accident and MACT case is currently under progress. Lawyer from my insurance company is attending the case, till date I had also attended the case with my lawyer. As per latest status victim have filed his bills and insurance company have offered him some amount in compensation. But victim have not accepted the compensation and insurance company also wanted to verify the document. So court have fixed next hearing date on 23-Aug.
My query is that since I am out of town is it mandatory for me to attend each and every hearing for MACT case. If insurance company is already attending the case is it ok to skip the hearing and track the result online for each hearing.

you can watch it on date to date basis, may be online so that in event of any order getting passed against you, you may timely move to court, since insurance is valid, liability is on insurer to pay compensation but vigilance of yours is a must so that nothing goes against you. However personal attendance not needed.

you have already briefed your lawyer . when your lawyer is attending you need not attend .as pointed out by Mr prabhakar singh you ought to be vigilant but liablility is of insurance company

Insurance company is the other side in your case and ensure your advocate is present in court that is enough. No need of parties presence.
