Can I get a divorce when abroad

Dear Sir/ Mam,

I am shifting abroad and before that, I wanted to file my divorce on mutual consent. I wanted to know if I can sign an affidavit that I am going abroad and the divorce proceeding can continue in my absence. If yes, can you please tell me the provision under which this is possible.

I will really appreciate you help in this.

in your absence petition cannot be decided, mere affidavit is not sufficient

no never!you do't get divorce without attending the court!

if one goes abroad after filing consent petiton, is it permissible to ascertain through video conferencing that consent of such person still exists.
